This weekend, we kicked off the season with our new series Christmas Classics taking a look at some of our favorite holiday movies.
Even though it was Thanksgiving weekend with many people out traveling, we had a great Sunday with lots of first time guests.
The halls have been decked and we’ve got Christmas everywhere you look. The giant Gingerbread Christmas house in up in the kids lobby and the stage in the Worship Center looks amazing!
The highlight of the morning was having our very own Linus, better known as Bear, recite Luke 2:8-14. He nailed it and brought home what Christmas is really about. This was followed by our band performing a couple of songs from A Charlie Brown Christmas including the musically challenging Linus and Lucy and Christmastime is Here, which of course they knocked out of the park!
The message was about how to find real joy this Christmas and all year long. It really seemed to resonate with many people who are having a hard time, like Charlie Brown did, getting into the Christmas spirit. So, if you want to check it out for yourself, you can do that right here.
We’ve also started our Presence Offering that you can participate in by going here and making a donation.
Our next Christmas movie is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and rumor has it that we’ll be visited by that bright-nosed reindeer himself, so bring your kiddos and your cameras this Sunday!
