Many people want to know how they can be a part of what God is doing in the world. The good news is, God wants you to join Him where He is at work.

When we look around and see all the needs in our world, it’s easy to cry out to God, “God, why don’t You do something about all these needs.” God’s response to us probably would sound something like, “I did do something. I created you. I blessed you. And I made you aware of the needs so that you can be My hands and feet to a world in need.” When we open our eyes to see the needs of those around us, it becomes clear that God wants to use us to meet those needs.

Did you know that over 40,000 people in Hays County live below the poverty line? This gives us at The Connection Church a BIG opportunity right here that we have a responsibility to do something about. It’s an honor to provide Thanksgiving meals to over 125 families this year! The total number of people that this will feed is nearly 700 so far.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Bring HEB Gift Cards – THIS Sunday, November 24th to help purchase perishable food items. (THIS IS THE PRIORITY NEED) Mark your online gift: Gobble Box
  • Bring Food – Canned Corn, Canned Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce, Canned Yams, Boxed Stuffing Mix, Boxed Instant Mashed Potatoes, Pumpkin Pie Filling, Graham Cracker Pie Crust
  • Assemble Gobble Boxes – 1:00 pm at Buda Campus or 12:00 pm at San Marcos Campus Sunday, November 24th. No need to RSVP, feel free just to show up!

What a great chance for us to meet God where He’s already at work today and share His heart with a world that desperately needs to know the God who passionately pursues them. Thank you for being a part of connecting people with God.
