The Best Week Yet: Transformers

So this week’s Best Week Yet has to take in the entire last week, which for us at The Connection Church is one of the biggest weeks of the year. I’m talking about Mega Sports Camp week! By the numbers, more than 215 AMAZING volunteers loved, served, sweated, and worked their tails off all week long; 331 total kidz were a part of the sports teams; and over 30 preschoolers (who were the children of our team members) made sports crafts and learned more about God’s Word! But the BIGGEST and BEST number from the week was the 85 kids who asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior! We call that one Chaosome (Chaos + Awesome) Week! Thanks so much to all the volunteers and to Trey and Jennifer Williams who led our team to victory! You can see the highlight reel video right here.

Then on Friday, over 30 volunteers were a part of the city’s Red, White and Buda Independence Day Event. They helped with the inflatable games and met some great people. Thanks Bobby and Sabrina Fraumann for your leadership in helping us reach out to 1000s of people in our community!

On Sunday morning, we had a great time continuing the God on Film series with the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction. Even on a holiday weekend, we saw a lot of new faces and are getting to know some new Connectors who are taking next steps in their walk with Jesus.

Our worship set this week included the band doing Mercy Me’s Shake which got everyone off their seat on their feet dancing. What a great song to celebrate the theme of life change! You can check out all the songs that we sang this week on this Spotify playlist by clicking here.

This week’s message was on how to experience real change in your life. It comes down to this: Information + Application = Transformation. That means when you know God’s powerful and effective Word and apply it to your specific area of need by putting it into practice, you will begin to see freedom and change in your life.
